Day 7: Starting The Day With A Walk

Blimey day 7 already we're already speeding through January and I've woken with a bad chest!  Wheezing and coughing...splutter splutter.

Today i'm starting to exercise also by walking the mile and half to work with my ear plugs in and a bit of Elbow lightly tickling my ear drums.  The weather in England has been fairly mild although very wet this month but now all is back to normal after the Christmas break it's time to change my journey to work habits....i pray it doesn't rain just as i step out of the door, there is nothing worse than sitting at your work desk smelling like a wet dog!

I do feel much better than i have done in months and my eyes are not as swollen or itchy, my skin feels less dehydrated.
I've never drank tea or coffee on this diet but i read on The Yeast Diet   that you can have Green Tea which is a pleasant welcome as i really love a warm drink when i wake but i must say I've also enjoyed a nice cool glass of water and i was reading in Whitney's recipe book about having water with a slice of Cucumber, i bet that is really refreshing so I'm going to try this today.  I try to drink about 2ltr of water a day as water is a great cleanser and helps your lymphatic system clear out the toxins which cause so many problems.

NOT one for the boys unless you don't mind Gynaecological talk...

My period was 6 week late this time around and i definitely know I'm not Pregnant and this has happened a few times over the last year or its two weeks, three weeks.  I have a very heavy flow and stomach cramps headaches etc and the week before I'm a psycho bitch from hell and don't even look at me the day it's about to happen! I sometimes hate being a woman! BUT all this said as I'd started the Yeast Free diet a week ago i really wasn't that bad so I'm going to keep a track this next month to see if i feel the difference as I'm sure when I've gone yeast free for a few months in the years previous this has eased.

I also have a very dry scalp which is horrendously itchy! I know this is not dandruff and people do confuse dandruff for a dry scalp. Dandruff is a condition which is related to the Psoriasis family and is very distressing for people who have the condition as is psoriasis.  Dry itchy scalps are generally caused by yeast so hopefully within a couple of months this will have subsided also. Fingers Crossed because it drives me blumming mad!

This morning for Breakfast i had porridge.  I love porridge but it's one of those dishes that i hate making but don't why as it's so easy to make!

one cup of porridge to two cups of Rice Milk
(vanilla rice milk to add more flavour).

I put mine in the microwave for a about 4 minutes but this will depend on the strength of your microwave.  I'd put it in for two mins and then take it from there.
Enjoy, you wonderful Yeast Free Day!!!

  1. Excellent post - I find that exercise and lots of water helps to flush out the toxins when I do the yeast cleanse as well.

Happy yeast free day to you!

  2. Thanks for your blog. I am also on a yeast-free journey. Is it oatmeal in your porridge? I'd love the recipe.

  4. Hi Chelsa

Thank you very much for your comment. Yes i use oatmeal but i'm going to buy a Gluten Free range of porridge as i always feel a bit sickly after as i did an hour or so after i eaten yesterday which i'd forgot to update. So i may have a slight intolerance but i do eat Gluten Free most of the time anyway as my Daughter is Coeliac. It does fill you up until lunch time though
too as it's a slow release energy.

Good Luck on your yeast free quest it's honestly really worth it

  5. sorry Chelsa, i mean't to say i use Porridge Oats not oatmeal! Unless you have a gluten intolerance then you should be ok with just the normal oats (i think) but i'm not sure if porridge oats are what you in the US call Oatmeal

    Hope this helps x
